Jonas B. Rasmussen
I work with architecture and development because I love building solutions that are both well-designed and practical. As an architect and developer, I combine technical vision with hands-on experience to ensure that systems are scalable, maintainable, and efficient. With extensive experience in Azure, .NET, SQL, and DevOps, I design architectures that stand the test of time – both technically and from a business perspective.
For me, architecture is not just about theory – it has to work in practice. My background as a developer allows me to think all the way from strategy to implementation, ensuring that solutions are solid, secure, and realistic to work with. I take pride in delivering high-quality work and always fully commit to the projects I take on.
Good collaboration is built on clear communication and honest discussions. I thrive in an environment where ideas are challenged and where expertise and humor go hand in hand – even when things get complex.
What I offer

Solution Architect
As a solution architect, I design cohesive and scalable solutions that meet business needs. I ensure that technical decisions support both short- and long-term goals, acting as a bridge between business, development, and operations. My work includes creating solution designs, architectural diagrams, and technical roadmaps. I document system integrations, assess risks, and advise on the best technical solutions.

Cloud Architect
As a cloud architect, I design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructures, with extensive experience in Azure. I help companies leverage cloud technologies effectively, ensuring their solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient. My work ensures that cloud solutions follow best practices in security, compliance, and governance, while also focusing on automation and scaling strategies to support business growth.

Software Architect
As a software architect, I define the technical structure of software solutions and make decisions on technology stacks, design patterns, and development principles. I ensure that software is flexible, scalable, and easy to maintain. My work includes creating architectural designs, documenting software components, and advising on performance and scalability solutions. I ensure that both code and architecture follow best practices so that solutions remain adaptable and future-proof.

Tech Lead
As a tech lead, I serve as the technical backbone of a development team, ensuring that best practices are followed. I provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and ensure implementation quality. I work closely with developers to create robust and scalable solutions and help resolve technical challenges. Additionally, I focus on mentoring and technical coaching to ensure the team continuously improves and delivers high-quality software.

Lead Developer
As a lead developer, I take responsibility for the development process and the quality of the code being written. I work hands-on with core functionality implementation, ensuring the code is optimized and maintainable, while actively collaborating with the team. I design and develop APIs, work with automated testing, and ensure that CI/CD pipelines are in place. I combine technical expertise with a practical approach to ensure efficient execution and high-quality results.
What I have done
Falck (2023-2025)
Subscription Management
The project focused on simplifying and modernizing Falck's system landscape for subscription management, including sales and billing. This transformation has significantly improved Falck's ability to deliver functionality that supports critical business needs at a much faster pace. It has enabled new customer capabilities for online sign-ups and self-service, while also making customer service and sales agents more efficient by ensuring that necessary actions can be performed easily and intuitively at the right stage in the process.
Danish Agency for Public Finance and Management (2022-2023)
Reimbursement Management
The project involved handling reports and reimbursement requests (e.g., for sick leave and parental leave benefits) for all government institutions. The solution simplifies the registration process for caseworkers, automatically records all reimbursements in the government payroll system, and helps ensure that reporting deadlines to municipalities and Udbetaling Danmark are met by automatically submitting reports, requests, and return-to-work notifications to NemRefusion at the correct times.
Agency for Digital Government (2021-2022)
Digital Post
The project involved the distribution of all digital post from public authorities to all citizens and businesses in Denmark. The solution places high demands on security, scalability, and user-friendliness, as it must handle highly sensitive data while being accessible to all citizens in Danish society. The system is characterized by high complexity, numerous integrations, and large volumes of data, which necessitated a robust architecture with extensive security measures and availability optimization.
Danish Agency for Public Finance and Management (2020-2021)
Central Integration Platform
The project involved establishing an integration strategy and an integration platform to serve as the entry point for all government institutions' systems to the shared government systems provided by the Agency for Public Finance and Management. The solution consists of an API gateway through which all integrations are exposed, as well as a file exchange engine equipped with a modern user interface. This engine was designed to replace the agency's existing file exchange system without requiring changes from the more than 1,000 customers relying on it.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2020-2021)
Common BI Solution
The project involved transitioning the development process of the ministry's common BI solution into a modern DevOps pipeline, utilizing version control and CI/CD, instead of the previous approach where individual developers deployed changes directly to production from their own computers. The solution is a classic ETL-based BI system with a data warehouse, data mart, and cubes, exposing data from a wide range of the ministry's systems while maintaining high security and data quality standards.
Directorate of Integration and Diversity (2019-2023)
Grants Management
The project involved managing grants and subsidies for Norwegian municipalities as part of the integration efforts for newly arrived refugees. The solution handles all aspects of grant and subsidy administration, including budgeting, template setup, application processing, and automatic payments for approved applications. The system automates a wide range of processes, including the automatic creation and processing of applications for newly arrived refugees, as well as ongoing archiving of applications to The National Archives of Norway.
Denmark's Environmental Portal (2017-2019)
Denmark's Land Information
The project involved supporting and maintaining a public digital map portal that provides access to geographic data and information about Denmark's land areas. The solution serves as a central tool where citizens, professionals, and authorities can access various types of geospatial data. It allows users to view information as layers on an interactive map, zoom in on specific areas, toggle different data layers on and off, and retrieve detailed information about specific locations in Denmark.
LB Insurance (2016-2017)
New website and self-service portal
The project involved designing and developing a new website with newly developed purchase flows that were easier to use for both existing and potential customers. At the same time, it enabled better integration with a new insurance system that was being introduced in parallel. This extensive transformation included a user-centered redesign of the customer interface, focusing on intuitive navigation, personalized user experiences, and optimized conversion rates through digital sales channels.
Energinet (2016)
New website
The project involved implementing an entirely new brand for Energinet along with a corresponding website. The solution is based on Sitecore and built exclusively with PaaS components in Azure – one of the first solutions of its kind in Denmark. This ambitious digital transformation encompassed not only visual identity and user experience but also a complete technological modernization, where traditional infrastructure was replaced by a fully cloud-based architecture.
Confederation of Danish Industry (2016)
Integration with OneDrive for Business
The project involved designing a SharePoint module that securely enables the sharing of internal documents from a SharePoint-based case and document management system with external users via OneDrive for Business. The custom-built module includes advanced security features such as granular access control, automatic expiration of sharing links, encrypted data transfer, and comprehensive audit trails. The integration provided a seamless user experience, allowing internal employees to share business-critical documents without compromising data security or compliance requirements.
Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (2012-2017)
e-grant
The project involved the design and development of a comprehensive grant management system with two primary components: A modern self-service portal where researchers and businesses can apply for research funding, report on their use of funds, and digitally track the entire grant process, as well as an advanced caseworker portal that streamlines the reception, evaluation, and administration of applications and grants. The system handles over 5 billion DKK annually in payouts to Danish and international research projects and innovation initiatives, making it a critical infrastructure for Denmark's research and innovation ecosystem.
What my clients say
I have had the pleasure of working with Jonas for several years in connection with the development of an integration strategy for the Danish Agency for Public Finance and Management and the subsequent establishment of a new integration platform.
They say that generalists know a little about a lot, and experts know a lot about a little. Jonas knows a lot about a lot. Jonas is a very competent architect and a fantastic sparring partner when difficult decisions need to be made.
Senior Consultant, Danish Agency for Public Finance and Management
I have collaborated with Jonas for four years on the development and subsequent operation of e-grant, which processes applications and manages grants for several billion Danish kroner annually in the fields of research and innovation.
In addition to being highly technically skilled, Jonas was also able to listen to and understand the business needs and took pride in solving them in the best possible way.
